Frequently Asked Questions
-
We work with active adults, athletes, and anyone who wants to move, feel, and perform better. Whether you’re dealing with pain, coming back from an injury, or just want structured training with expert guidance—you’ll fit right in here.
-
Yes—and that’s exactly how we’re designed. You can combine physical therapy or chiropractic care, and training into one seamless plan so everything works together instead of against each other
-
Yes. Our group classes are structured, coach-led, and built around proper movement—not random workouts. You’ll get a mix of strength training, conditioning, and mobility in an environment that’s supportive but still pushes you.
-
We’re not a “show up and figure it out” gym. Everything here is intentional. You have access to coaches, structured programming, and a community that actually cares about how you move—not just how much you lift.
-
Every session is fully customized to you. That includes a structured program, coaching on proper technique, and adjustments based on your goals, limitations, and progress. It’s not just a workout—it’s a plan.
-
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
-
Your first visit starts with a conversation about what brought you in, what activities are important to you, and what you want to get back to doing. Your provider will then perform an individualized assessment that may include movement, strength, range of motion, and other orthopedic or functional testing.
From there, we'll explain what we find, discuss your goals, and develop a plan designed specifically for you. Treatment may begin during your first visit when appropriate.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and gives your provider access to the area being evaluated. Athletic clothing is usually best. For lower-body concerns, shorts are helpful.
-
In many situations, you may be able to schedule directly with us without first seeing another healthcare provider. Referral requirements can vary depending on the service, your insurance plan, and your individual situation.
Contact us if you're unsure, and we'll help you determine what you need before your first appointment.
-
Yes. You can schedule online through our booking system. If you're unsure which service or provider is right for you, contact us and we'll help point you in the right direction.
-
That's okay—you don't have to diagnose yourself before coming in.
If you're unsure which service is the best fit, contact our team and tell us what's going on. We'll help determine the best place to start.
-
We work with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and movement-related problems, including back and neck pain, joint pain, muscle and tendon injuries, sports injuries, overuse injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and limitations that are keeping you from doing the activities you enjoy.
If you're unsure whether we can help with your particular situation, contact us before scheduling.
-
Treatment is individualized rather than based on a predetermined protocol.
Your provider may use movement and range-of-motion assessments, strength testing, hands-on treatment, exercise, mobility work, and other techniques based on your evaluation and goals.
More importantly, we'll help you understand what's contributing to the problem and what you can do outside of your appointments to continue making progress.
-
Depending on your needs, treatment may include hands-on therapy, joint or soft-tissue techniques, dry needling, corrective or therapeutic exercise, strength training, mobility work, movement retraining, and education.
We don't use every technique on every person. Your treatment plan is based on your assessment, goals, and response to care.
-
Treatment should generally be tolerable, but certain techniques may cause temporary discomfort or soreness.
We'll communicate with you throughout your session and adjust treatment based on how you're responding. Some people experience mild soreness afterward, particularly when beginning new exercises or receiving certain hands-on treatments, but this typically resolves quickly.
-
There isn't one timeline that applies to everyone.
Recovery depends on factors such as the type and severity of your injury, how long you've had the problem, your activity level, previous injuries, and your goals.
After your evaluation, your provider will give you a better understanding of what to expect and recommend an appropriate plan. Our goal isn't to keep you coming indefinitely—it's to give you the treatment, strength, knowledge, and confidence you need to move forward.
-
When appropriate, yes. Your provider may give you exercises, mobility work, activity modifications, or other strategies to reinforce what you're working on during your appointments.
We want the progress you make with us to carry over into your everyday life.
-
Absolutely. Staying active whenever it is safe and appropriate is an important part of our approach.
Rather than unnecessarily stopping everything you enjoy, we'll help you understand what you can continue doing, what may need to be temporarily modified, and how to progressively return to full activity.
-
Not necessarily.
Depending on your injury, there are often ways to modify exercises, training volume, intensity, or specific movements so you can continue being active while you recover.
We'll help you determine what's appropriate for your situation.
-
Yes. We work with athletes across different sports and levels of competition as well as active adults who simply want to keep doing the things they love.
Our approach doesn't stop at reducing symptoms. When appropriate, rehabilitation progresses into strength, power, conditioning, and sport-specific demands so you're prepared to return to performance.
-
No.
You may also come to Prevail to address movement limitations, improve strength, return to an activity, reduce injury risk, or improve physical performance.
You don't have to wait until something hurts to start taking care of your body.
-
Our goal is to bridge the gap between healthcare and fitness.
Instead of focusing only on temporary symptom relief, we look at what may be limiting your movement and function and develop a plan to help you return to the activities that matter to you.
Your care may progress from hands-on treatment and rehabilitation into strength and performance training—all within the same environment.
-
Chiropractic care at Prevail isn't limited to short-term pain relief.
Depending on your needs, your care may incorporate hands-on treatment, movement, exercise, strength, and education to help you recover from injury and return to training, sports, work, or everyday activities.
-
No. Adjustments are one tool that may be used when appropriate, but they aren't the entire treatment.
Your provider will determine which combination of treatment, movement, exercise, and education makes sense based on your evaluation and goals.
-
Yes. That's one of the advantages of having rehabilitation and performance training in the same environment.
When appropriate, your providers and coaches can work toward the same overall goals so your rehabilitation and training complement one another.
-
Personal training is built around you.
Your coach develops structured programming based on your goals, training experience, movement abilities, limitations, and progress. Sessions include coaching, technique development, appropriate progression, and ongoing adjustments rather than simply giving you a workout to complete.
-
Yes. Our group training is coach-led and intentionally programmed around strength, conditioning, mobility, and quality movement.
You'll train alongside other members while still receiving coaching and guidance throughout the session.
-
IDo I need experience with strength training?
No.
Our coaches can meet you at your current level. Whether you're new to strength training or have trained for years, exercises and progressions can be adjusted appropriately.
-
In many cases, yes.
One of the advantages of Prevail is having rehabilitation professionals and fitness coaches working within the same environment. Programming can be modified around your history and current abilities so you can continue progressing appropriately.
-
Prevail is designed for people who want more than access to equipment.
Our focus is on coaching, purposeful programming, quality movement, progression, and community. Instead of showing up and figuring everything out yourself, you'll have professionals who understand where you are, where you want to go, and how to help you get there.
-
Yes. We offer training designed to help athletes develop the physical qualities required for their sport, which may include strength, speed, power, mobility, conditioning, and resilience.
Programming can be tailored to the athlete's age, experience, sport, season, and individual goals.
